Welcome to Realms of Hyrule, a play by post RPG!

“Nearly one hundred Years after the events of the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, Hyrule and Termina have united forced in order to rebuild from the disastrous War of Time. Normalcy has only begun to return to the realms as a newly born Princess Zelda comes into a Hyrule that is only now returning to it's former prosperity. However, the lands of Hyrule and Termina remain as volatile and unknown as ever. Where does the next villain lay? Will there be a Hero to face him? Only you will be able to tell. What is RoH?

Realms of Hyrule, or RoH, is a Zelda-based text-RPG. In a text RPG, instead of pressing buttons and watching the graphic designs on the screen, you "post," or type out and compose pieces of a story by "role-playing."

In the words of TSA, the best way to describe role-playing is putting yourself into someone else's shoes. You create your character, make a background story, interact with other members' characters and go on adventures together. Adventures may include combating evil foes, exploring new lands, or just hanging out at the tavern with your buds – all navigated by your imagination. There are certain rules and limits to your imagination when interacting with others, but for the most part you are free to wield it how you wish. Role-playing and almost everything else on RoH happens on the forums. The Main site is mostly for announcements, detailed information, player profiles, etc.

What can you expect to find within RoH?

• Over 30 areas taken from the two iconic Nintendo 64 Games.. The lands of Hyrule and Termina have been fully opened for your character’s needs.


• 9 races to choose from, many appearing through a number of games, such as the strong and peaceful Gorons ot the water-dwelling Zora. Others more unique, such as the birdlike Rito tribe or the sly Gerudos.


• A unique battle system where players can duel it out in a number of areas such as:
  - Duels against other players
  - RoH Tournaments
  - Dungeons
  - Story-based Quests


• With each post your character makes, the more powerful and rich they will become. Rupees will be assigned automatically, the more detailed the post is, the better reward you will get. Rupees can be spent in the shop which is used for the PVP system. There are a number of things available including:
  - A class system. Choose from a range of classes, each having a unique set of skills and equipments. As you grow stronger, promotion classes will become available to you.
  - A rich list of equipments. A range of weaponry, armor and spells can be bought and used by your character to enhance their power.


• Within RoH there are a number of factions, which dedicate themselves to one cause. They are also known as Guilds. Guilds provide a number of advantages to a player should they wish to create one or join one. They provide an active community as well as a source of storyline. Guilds are often involved in the main plot of the RoH storyline.

• The Instruction Manual. This area provides all of the basic needs and requirements for beginner RP'ers. Rules and regulations are found here.


• The Tavern. This is where new players come and greet themselves to the masses and get to know other members better.


• The Hero's Fountain. Those who are new to the aspect of text based RPG's should first get an understanding of what they must do withinthe RP areas. Trainers, each highly skilled in RPing, will happily guide along new players until they feel ready to go out into the world on their own. Standard RPing rules are very relaxed here, so don't be too troubled if errors are made.
  


• RP Networking. Where you can find people to roleplay with can involved with other members.
  
  
  A final point is: "Never be afraid to ask." If you have a problem regarding anything on the forums, or you require help on any level, then simply PM (private message) a Scribe (forum moderators) and they'll be sure to get back to you with a good answer.
