What is Affiliation?

Affiliation is where two web sites recommend each other to their members. In RoH's case, this means that we put up a button for another site, linking to them, and the site we link to would generally do the same for us.

We here at Realms of Hyrule are somewhat selective in choosing our affiliates. Unlike most popular Zelda sites today, RoH is completely non-profit. That means our members get to enjoy a site free of ads. Linking to too many places would create a sort of "ad" feeling, which we wish to avoid. Therefore we will affiliate only with sites we genuinely like to some degree; not with every site who wants to jump on the link-wagon.

How do I Affiliate my Site with RoH?

If you would like to be affiliated with us, simply send an Email to an Administrator. Be sure to include the details of your site, a link to your site, and anything else you feel is relevant. A reply will be sent, usually within 48 hours, in response to your affiliation request.

What are the Requirements?

Our requirements are mostly determinate of our opinion of your site, but there are a couple of guidelines. We don't care too much how old or new your site is, how many hits a day you get, or how many awards your site has been given. We do, however, prefer your site to be Zelda-based. When reviewing a site, we will review it based on originality style, ease of navigation, and content.

One concrete requirement we have, is an 88x31 pixel button for us to link to your site. Buttons are much more attractive than simple links. It doesn't have to be fantastic, but please don't present something that looks like it was just whipped together. Also, since we will be linking to your site on every page, we ask that you do the same in return.

What images should I use to link to RoH?

We currently do not have banners, but there are two different 88x31 pixel buttons you may choose from.
