Physical Description: Toping off at 5’ 7”, this sturdy woman doesn’t strike much of an imposing figure, however when one coupled that with the weapons in her arsenal and the nickname “Killer Kenitt”, she’s fearsome indeed. Her wavy auburn hair and tanned skin allows her to blend in with the plains and with the rougher crowds of any town.
Her attire speaks of foreign heritage and provides her with a prickly demeanor, but a cursedly cute button nose and unusual eyes make her rather softer than she would like. Her body moves with a studied grace and economy of motion that takes years of honing and training to achieve.
Personality: Kaylin has a mild personality, however when angered and her control is compromised via drink or sleeplessness, she lets a redhead temper flare. She often is easy going, however, due to her involvement in the wars in other contries, she is a bit paranoid and sensitive to prejudice. She fights now as a wandering sell sword, offering her whip to anyone who would pay good money for it.
She is not without morals though and doesn’t take on jobs where the sole purpose is bloodshed. Protection and provision are her main skills. She’s a skilled hunter and will sell her skills to someone in need or starving. Kaylin has a hard time letting go of some of her own prejudices even while persecuting those with different ones. She is exceptionally hard on racism.
She is paranoid about past enemies seeking her out as well as past officers who once commanded her. She’s fairly extroverted, talking to people helps her get work and network with people who do something similar in life as she does. She lies almost too easily, barely realizing that she is doing so. However, the fact that she hardly recognizes that she’s doing it means she’s very convincing at it.
Family: Kaylin doesn’t have any family that she keeps in touch with. She has thought about going back home and seeking them out, but there’s so much in her past that she’s not sure if she could show her face to those who once knew her. Perhaps it would be too much to overcome?
Magical Talents: As of yet, Kaylin has discovered no talents in magic. She’s never really learned much about it though.
Weapons and Talents: Her belt has an assortment of pouches, each containing tools of her trade and coins for her enjoyment. She carries around on her back a large quiver of arrows. Also ridding on her hips is a whip that she is most skilled with armed with two barbs at the end. Kaylin also carries with her a 5 inch hunting knife in the style of a Bowie knife.
Strengths and Weaknesses:
Strengths: Kaylin is talented with a bow, able to take down moving targets while moving herself. Her precision is very well noted by her superiors and they relied on her judgment calls leading her archers on the field of battle. She is also skilled with a whip, though this does not exceed her archery skills. It forms her weaponry of close quarters as she is not very skilled with a blade. She’s also able to handle small watercraft alone and with a crew she can captain a larger vessel. Kaylin has great charisma with those she encounters. Her near uncanny ability to pick out which tall tales will get her what she wants helps her to endear herself to those around her that could help her advance her own goals. She’s also very tough. She takes a beating and keeps on ticking.
Weaknesses: Kaylin is a hot head; she’s paranoid that people are constantly out to punish her past actions in the war.
History: Kaylin grew up in Terminia but came across the ocean passage at a younger age. Actually, she came across several times as her father and mother owned a shipping vessel. One trip she found that she didn’t want to make the voyage back home. She had fallen in love with a young man in the Hyrule port and they were avowed to run away together. So she made the trip once more home to gather her things before departing her family vessel. However, there was no young man to greet her. He had found someone else while she had made the journey back to her home.
Brokenhearted, Kaylin waited at port, working in a tavern to make her wages until her mother and father came back to port. However, her return to the sea was abrubtly changed when she was kidnapped by vagabonds and sold off to the gerudo women of the desert, nearly across the world from her familiar waterways. There she was a slave, forced to fight in raids and skirmishes. All connection with Terminia stopped and Kaylin was alone. Without her parents and without a country, she soon found herself working in the foreigner’s army.
Kaylin learned to fight there. At first working her way up through the lowest ranks and then, upon discovering she was an ace archer, skyrocketed up into a combat position. She grew in command and was at the forefront of most engagements. Her troops fought mainly the dinolfos and other nomadic forces seeking to extract from the clashing armies supplies and ammunitions.
During a skirmish she lost the middle finger on her right hand. Seeing as she was a right handed archer, she couldn't continue to be useful. They discharged her before the blood had dried.
Spells: N/A as of now.
