Reputation, or the Moral Indictator, is a program built into the forum that allows members to either up someone's positive or negative reputation. The sum of that person's reputation can be found either on their profiles, or if they are particular popular, on the top 10 list.

For those who have played Fable (I, II or III), you'll be familiar with a moral indictator system they have. This system doesn't change how your character operates but it does have an affect on how people see you. The same applies here. Those who read people's posts should get an indicator of how that post stands in terms of the moral side of things. Most posts won't show any moral indictator and therefore don't need to be rated, whereas some do!

For example: If a person writes a post that shows their character saving someone else, donating money to people or generally being nice and helpful, you should give it a positive rep. You don't have to, of course, but it'd be polite to that person. If a person decides to murder people, steal or threaten, then you should give them a negative rep.

Remember, your character should react in regards to how the character comes off from their posts as well as their reputation counter. Another thing you must note is that the reputation system is proportional to fame. See the table below:

- Good Reputation
1 - 9 = Your character isn't well-known for being good, but in person they come across pleasant. (Entirely depends on the context of the post though.)
10 - 49 = Your character is familiar in the area for being good.
50 - 100 = Your character is famous in the area for being heroic. Their kind deeds and gestures cause people to praise them.

- Bad Reputation
1 - 9 = Your character isn't well-known for being bad, but in person they come across unpleasant. (Entirely depends on the context of the post though.)
10 - 49 = Your character is familiar in the area for being bad.
50 - 100 = Your character is notorious in the area for being malicious. Their misdemeanours and acts of evil cause people to fear them.

This system can only operate if you are fair and rational. Giving good characters negative reputation will not be tolerated if there is no cause for it. We have a history of who reps who, so we'll know. Also, there are awards for achieving milestones, and we all know awards are cool to collect.

You have 5 pos rep points and 5 neg points available every 24 hours to use. This means that you can only rep 5 posts for each morality each day, so pick wisely.

Be polite and rep people!

Addition to the system:

Metagaming cannot come into play here. This is a new rule to make the system better for all.
Though you have the ability to rep anyone you like, I ask that you only rep those you're in conversation with. Reason for this is that your character's morality can only be assessed if there are people around to assess you. It'll also allow people to be anonymously good or evil, so long as they do their evil practices in the absence of characters.

If you decide to foulmouth someone to their face, and you get -1 rep, that's your own fault.
