The Princess has been born! In honor of this glorious event, there will be a four day festival in Hyrule Castle City!

The first day will be a day of celebration. The festival square will contain entertainment for any who wish to participate. There will be many booths with food and drink, and in addition, a fortune teller will be arriving. The grand Riddle Master will also make an appearance and will have three levels of riddles. Each member can try and solve one riddle one time. If you succeed, you will get a reward in the form of xp points. The hardest riddle is worth 3 xp. The middle riddle is worth 2 xp. And the prize for the easiest riddle is 1 xp. There will also be a counting booth, where people can try their hand at guessing the amount of rupees in a jar. The person who guesses closest will be the recipient of 2 xp. During the end of the first day, tables of food will be brought out, providing a free feast for anyone who wishes to come to the square.

The second day will feature a grand parade. The king and his court will pass through, along with delegations from various races. There will also be performers scattered throughout the parade, making it a spectacle nobody will want to miss. Later in the day a portion of the large festival square will be set up as a battlefield for the Tournament. A booth for members to sign up for the tournament will have been in the square the day before. The first 16 people to sign up will be admitted into the tournament. People will be randomly paired off. The first 8 pairs will then fight in sections marked off for them within the competition grounds. The winners will fight the winners, and this will continue until one victor remains. The battle system will be used for all battles during the tournament. Maiming or killing opponents will not be allowed. Fights have a time limit of 3 real life days. If a fight is not concluded within that many days, the member with the most hp left will be declared the winner. The winner will receive an award of 3xp, fame throughout hyrule, a chance to meet the king, and admittance to the Noble’s ball.

The third day will see the market square being closed in the morning as it is prepared for the dance. In the afternoon it will open again, admitting anyone who wishes to attend. There will be a commoner’s dance featuring musicians, free food and drink, and much fun. Meanwhile the nobility will have a ball to attend. Once again there will be the finest food and drink, along with the best musicians that can be found.

On the fourth day the results of the Counting Booth will be announced. This will also be the last chance for members to submit their answer to the Riddle Master. In the afternoon, the booths will shut down and the king will come to make an address before the masses. After the king’s speech, tables of food will again be brought out for one final day of feasting.

Each day in the rp will last approximately one real life week. The sole exception to this will be the second day, which due to the tournament, will last two weeks. The festival will start this upcoming Monday. Word of the festival is being spread via announcements posted in most towns in Hyrule, and via word of mouth throughout Termina.

Addition to rewards:

- Winner of the Riddles:
# Easy = 25 rupees
# Middle = 50 rupees
# Hard = 75 rupees

- Winner of the Rupee Jar:
# 100 rupees

- Winner of the Tournament:
# 150 rupees

All those that attend the festival will receive 5 rupees. (Please PM me (Lord Souseiki) to claim, and you must have posted your character being in the actual festival, not saying you'll attend.)

Those wanting to start up a guild, these competitions will be an excellent way of obtaining the rupees to pay for your Oath to Order. :ph34rwink:

Day one of the festival has ended! Day two will start off a parade that will last for two real life days. After the parade, the tournament will start.

The tournament has changed a bit, so read carefully. The first fights will be three person free for alls. The six contestants will be divided into groups of three. Each person will fight against the other two people in their groups. Both fights will occur at the same time. These fights will last 6 real life days. If there is no winner in either group by the end of those days, the person with the most hp will be declared the winner.

After those fights, there will be a time of 1 rl day in which the participants can recover, seek out healers, ect. Then, the two victors will face off. This fight will have a time limit of 7 days. If no winner is declared by then, then the person with the most health will again be declared the winner.

For the sake of the tournament, when you reach zero health, your character is not dead. Rather, he/she is unconscious, or otherwise unable to keep fighting.

Day two of the festival will last at the most 16 days. However, if the battles in the tournament conclude quickly, the second day of the festival could end sooner than that. Once the tournament ends, day two will end and day 3 (A.k.a the dance and ball) will begin.

Edit: If, when day 2 has started, you are still in the middle of a roleplay in the festival square from day 1, you don't have to end it and move out. Rather, people in threads such as the Festival Cafe, Main Festival Square, ect. can just say/assume that they are out of the way of the tournament set up.

Here is the tournament roster:

Tomorrow three threads will be started. Two will be for the two fights, and one will be for any spectators to post in. Contestants should wrap up their rps and head over to the tournament threads as soon as possible once they are started. Remember, once the threads are posted, contestants will have a limit of 6 days to try and win.

The final battle in the tournament has rapidly concluded, with Alakas as the winner!

The tournament is now over. There will be one real life day to provide people with time to post their character's healing, getting ready for the next day, ect. On Wednesday morning, the Noble's Ball and Commoner's Dance will begin. The dances will last for one week.

Tomorrow morning (on the 3rd of August) day three of the festival will begin. Threads will be started for the commoner's dance and the noble's ball. However, due to recent events, there will most likely be an atmosphere of worry in the air, and a large presence of guards around the events. People will be on edge due to the symbol burning in the sky. If you attend the events, be sure to consider that when posting.

Day three of the festival will last one week. After that time, the threads for the dances will end, and day four will begin.

Since most people are still wrapped up in the events happening around Hyrule Castle City, it has been decided that day 3 of the festival will be temporarily put on hold. Day 3 will resume according to the original plan on Monday.

Day 3 of the festival has ended, and it is time for day 4 to begin! Here is how day 4 will go:

The last day of the festival will last for 7 rl days.

For 5 of those days, booths will be open again. On the 5th day, results of the booths will be announced.

Then on the 6th rl day, the king will make a great speech to the people. After his speech, tables filled with free food and drink will be brought out and set up and a final feast will begin.

The king is dead, meaning that the speech and following feast won't be happening. Although no official announcement regarding the end of the festival has been made yet, rumors are sure to have started leaking out of the palace as to what happened. When the King does not appear to make his speech, these rumors are sure to flourish. If you are in the festival area (or anywhere in Hyrule Castle City really), you may start hearing rumors of the king's death.
