Weapon Type and Quality
Alden is a brawler, and subsequently uses his body as his primary weapons. He carries with him a chokuto however, though the blade is sealed in its sheathe with a complexly knotted bit of cloth.
Physical Description:
Alden is of relatively average size, sharing with most of his race a relatively light and supple frame. The most striking feature of the man is his eyes. The normal crimson iris of the sheikah is notable enough, but Alden's pupils are milky white as well. He has medium length, raven black hair. While it is usually kept in a ponytail, it is rare that a few hairs do not manage to escape from their bindings. For the most part Alden has soft features, though they are marred with light scarring. Tattoos in black bearing the seal of the royal family can be found on the back of either hand, with the sheikah eye found on each palm. The sheikah is usually garbed in light weight, relatively cheap clothing. Beneath he wears light weight leather armor, and a final layer of protective silk. Typically his eyes are veiled by a strip of cloth, and his hands covered with bandages. His chokuto rests across the small of his back.
Personality:
Alden is a relatively reserved individual, having been trained to keep his thoughts to himself unless asked for them. Regardless of this, he tends to be quite the caring and empathetic person. Always good to his word, he is a trustworthy and loyal friend. Due to the extent and ferocity of his training, he remains a focused and patient individual. He has also built up a special code of honor for himself outside of his work duties.

Alden uses his body to great effect as a weapon, but has to use senses other than his vision to predict where and when his targets will be where they need to be. He has virtually no talent with a blade.
Strengths and Weaknesses:
Alden is patient, but tends to be rather cold outwardly. While not unkind, his lack of body language and efficient but deliberate way of moving are not easily related to. He has an almost excessively dry sense of humor, one few catch on to. Also, rather obviously by this point, he is blind. His other senses are heightened and hone however, granting a much different look at life.
History:
Alden Dantarres was born into his station, his duty, and his impairment. Born without the gift of sight, Alden was nevertheless trained to become a member of the royal guard, and a personal bodyguard for the royal family. He had a difficult time in his early youth, his father having to take a significant time out of his work to train the boy to utilize his other faculties. Training exercises of course existed to simulate blind combat, though they eventually proved to be insufficient for Alden's complete training. The sheikah had to master depth perception and location through only the use of his hearing, and recognition of people through smell and the sound of movement. A complicated task, it was made more complicated by the young man's naturally slight physique.
Though Alden had an easier time of things once he mastered the use of his other senses, his inability to put on muscle made the task of training for the royal guard much more difficult. Though he quickly gained speed and athletic endurance, he was quick to drop in a fist fight until his late teens. All the same, eventually the sheikah forced himself into the spotlight. King Daltus observed the sheikah during a training session, in which the young Dantarres took on two of his armed classmates single handed, after managing to navigate an obstacle course. Seeing potential in the boy's inability to see, the King took on Alden as his personal bodyguard. Unable to see, Alden was completely unable to read or decipher maps. Any national secrets that were on paper, Alden could not betray even if he wanted to.
In this role Alden has served for the past seven years, save for when circumstances do not allow it. Rather the silent guardian, Alden's word has become relatively well respected in the court, though he rarely offers it even when asked. The only times he is seen apart from the King is during public events where his abilities are stretched beyond their capacity. Events that involve more than sixty or so people prove to be too much for the sheikah's impressive sensory abilities, as there is only so much information that he can digest at a given time. All the same, those that find him in the absence of the King guard their words carefully. His almost supernaturally strong sense of hearing has dealt with a number of court issues before they have had a chance to get out of hand. He has relatively few friends outside of his family and the royal guard, he inspires more fear in the members of the court than inspiring any amount of caring.
