Weapon Type and Quality: For Striking purposes, Corvus utilizes two long knives of his own customization. The blades are thin and straight, curving with a sharp, straight 45-degree angle on the tip of the blades. Not only are they razor sharp, but in the hands of Corvus, they are deadly accurate, and never miss their mark. For Ranged Combat purposes, Corvus carries a multitude of throwing knives on his person, and never seems to run out. They are deadly accurate in his hands, and he strangely never seems to run out of them, picking them up on the battlefield as he goes along. The throwing knives are of Fine quality, and the long knives are of Exquisite quality.

Physical Description: Corvus stands at a height of 5 feet, 8 inches, and weighs in at about 175 pounds. He is an incredibly skinny man with what appears to be little muscle on his body, but he tends to get by just fine by eating little. His hair is navy blue, and is medium length that stops an inch above his eyebrows. His eyes are violet in color, but are rarely seen due to the constant cover over them. His skin seems rather pale, but it is his normal complexion. He has tattoos on his face that seem like red tribal markings, and he has a tattoo on his wrist of an ancient Hylian character that reads "silence." His facial tattoos are more often than not covered with a face mask that he wears over the lower half of his face. In case he ever needs to speak for whatever reason, no one will see him do it.

When teaching students, he goes for a casually professional look. He usually wears something that a casual teacher would wear. He wears brown penny loafers, a white dress shirt with the top three buttons opened up, a grey plaid vest, and dark grey slacks. When out on missions, he takes on an entirely different appearance. He wears a different face mask designed for combat purposes, a maroon and black trench coat, dark grey track pants, a rather form-fitting black muscle shirt underneath the trench coat, and black combat boots.

Personality: Corvus is a silent man, but only by choice. The tattoo on his wrist that reads "silence" is practically his mantra. Not necessarily in a "silence is golden" kind of way, but he owes it to the man that trained him. Formerly, he was a highly trained assassin that killed for money and was part of a group of other assassins. But after the target was his master without him ever realizing it, he swore an oath of silence to protect his master’s legacy of secrets, leaving the assassin world as he did so.

There are times when he teaches Natural History at Gekkou Academy. The youth there can be a bit rowdy and uncontrollable, but he still enjoys teaching ancient history to them on a continuous basis. Despite him not speaking, he still uses notes and his own chalkboard to communicate with his students, and he throws things in their general direction if they are being disobedient.

Family: He knows not what has become of them, but he only cares about what might be happening with some of them....should they be alive. He wonders how his brother and father are faring, but his stepmother he couldn't give two shits about. He wonders what happened to his mother and where she has gone.

Magical Talents: Corvus knows a fair bit of Wind Magic and Shadow Magic. What he’s really adept at is combining them with his weapons. Mostly Wind Magic with his throwing knives, and Shadow Magic with his long knives.

Weapons and Talents: See Weapon Type and Quality

Strengths and Weaknesses: His main weakness is his refusal to speak, which in teaching situations can be a pretty big fault on his part, but he can somehow make it work.

History: Corvus was born into a normal family with a relatively normal life in Castle Town until he was 6, when his mother walked out on his father for another man…who she broke up with because he abused her. Seven years later, his life became somewhat of a living hell after his dad remarried and his stepmother gave birth to a son that would end up ruining his relationship with his father. After the brother was born, Corvus’ father ended up ignoring him, his stepmother ended up verbally abusing him, and his little infant brother ended up physically abusing him. He didn’t want to deal with that life anymore, so he ran. He ran as far away as he could without looking back.

By the time he stopped running, he had found himself in the deep east of Hyrule, nearly approaching the Lost Woods. Before he could turn around and try to find a nearby town, a few Moblins attacked him and were about to kill him had someone not come across the thirteen-year-old and saved him. After they were fended off, the man introduced himself as “Koga,” and was about to go on his way when Corvus began to beg for Koga to teach him how to defend himself and stand up for himself.

From that point forward, Koga became “Master Koga,” and Corvus went by the alias of “Crow.” Over the next 15 years, Koga taught Corvus everything he knew, giving him both a good education about Hyrule’s ancient history and grueling battle training, and by the end of it all, Corvus became a force to be reckoned with. He engaged in contract work with Koga some time afterward, working with a mercenary force that killed for money. Both had their doubts about such an organization, but they had to do anything for the payroll to come in.

Things were great for awhile until the target for an assassination became none other than Corvus’ own family, mainly for reasons that they wouldn’t reveal to him. Before he and Koga could object, a team of highly-trained assassins were sent to do the job, and so Corvus and Koga went to go and intervene. They were almost too late, but managed to prevent them from assassinating their first target: Corvus’ little brother.

The battle raged for a few hours, until the assailants were killed, but at a price: Koga had been fatally wounded. Before he completely bled out, he had one final request for Corvus: That all of this be kept a secret. His apprenticeship…his evil legacy as “The Blood Crow”….everything. Corvus completely understood, and after burying his former master, went on to quit the guild, went back to using his old name of Corvus, and added the pseudo surname of “Valentine” to not affiliate himself with his past life. To further this, he took up a complete oath of silence, and tattooed a symbol in ancient Hylian which translated into “Silence” to solidify all of this.

To communicate, he spent some time to perfect his penmanship and uses written messages to talk to people. He also decided to take his knowledge of Ancient History and apply it into becoming a teacher at the renowned Gekkou Academy, and has been teaching there for the past five years.

Spells:

Blade Storm (Ranged) – A Wind Magic spell where Corvus takes fragments of Wind energy, shapes them into knives, and throws them continuously at his opponent. If at least one of the knives connects with his opponent, then all the knives thrown converge on the target like a magnet, dealing massive damage.

Shadow Strike (Melee) – A Shadow Magic spell where Corvus imbues his long knives with Shadow energy and attempts to deliver a fatal strike to his opponent. However, the damage isn’t really enough to kill anyone, he just gets lucky if he strikes a vital organ.

I'm officially retiring Corvus. I never wanted him to be the type of character that I'd have to continually ruin and maim in order for him to get anywhere, but it somehow ended up happening anyway. So he's being shafted in favor of something else.
