Rich (3)
Prodigy (striking) (3)

Self Non-preservation (3)
Bad Liar (2)

Battle System Weapons: Fine 1H sword and Shield.

Physical Description:
height: 5' 9"
Eyes: Green
Hair: Long, Blonde, and naturally wavy
Skin: Caucasian, yet fairly tan. she spends much time outdoors.
Build: Slim and muscular
Clothing: Skylar usually wears a silver set of chain mail with a leather shirt under it, leather leggings, and brown gloves with a brown and gold belt. When not wearing her armor, she will wear a simple tunic and leggings. Only rarely does she don a noble's gown.

Personality: Skylar tends to have a sharp tongue and a quick temper. However, hidden beneath this, she truly does care about helping people as much as possible. When she gets to know somebody, she can be loyal to a fault. However, when somebody angers her she will often hold a grudge for a long time. She always has to be doing something that feels productive to her, and hates the lazy social life expected of most nobles.

Family: Skylar is part of the Jade Family of nobles. The family is one of the richer families, but is fairly small. The immediate family consists of Skylar Jade, her sister, and their father, Lord Alexander Jade.

Magical Talents: Skylar has the potential to control magic. However, she rather dislikes magic, and finds the strange things that keep happening around her to be a nuisance. She also has no idea how to control her emerging power.

Weapons and Talents: Skylar is a very skilled swordfighter. She also can hold her own in a street brawl, and knows how to use other weapons (such as a bow or knives) decently.

Strengths and Weaknesses: Still figuring these out.

History:The Jade family is a small, but rich noble family. The immediate family consists of Lord Alexander Jade, Lady Skylar Jade, and Millenear Jade. Skylar and Millenear have one uncle and aunt, and two cousins, all of whom live in a nearby home and attend the court. They also have one grandparent left who lives with the uncle.

Lord Alexander and Lady Mariana met at the court. They quickly fell in love and encouraged their parents to look at the benefits of marriage between them. Things moved quickly, and the two married. They had a child named Jaron a year later. Jaron was a charming sort of boy, the type who made friends quickly and easily. He was also a skilled fighter, and when he wasn’t entertaining fellow nobles, he could be found sparring with his friends.

18 years later this proved to be his downfall. Lady Mariana was pregnant with another child, and the family was looking forward to the addition to their lives. However, tragedy struck when Jared was sparing with a friend. They were using real blades, and had gotten deeply into the fight. Jared became distracted, however, and moved too slow to stop his friend’s strike. He was killed.

Lady Mariana went into a deep depression after that. The depression only worsened when Skylar was born, for she looked much like Jaron had as a child. Lady Mariana refused to have anything to do with the child, and as Skylar grew and came to resemble Jaron more and more, Lady Mariana’s depression worsened. It was said that if Skylar and Jaron had been born at the same time, they could have been twins for how similar she looked to him.

Skylar was constantly aware of this growing up, and it left her bitter and frustrated. It was almost as if she had no mother, and the other nobles her age were quick to torment her about it. She grew up being told that it was her fault for looking so similar to her dead brother.

When she was only six years old, Skylar made her way into the armory while trying to avoid her mother. There, she began to play with one of the swords. Her father found her and took it away, but it quickly became clear to any who watched her that she was obsessed with seeing the weapon again. Her father then hired a swordsmaster to teach her, and Skylar soon found that when fighting she could dispel all her hurt and rage.

Shortly after this time, Skylar’s mother began to get out of her slump of depression. It almost seemed to be a turning point when she announced herself to be pregnant with child again. She began to pay kinder attention to Skylar, and for once things seemed to be getting better for the girl.

Then Lady Mariana died in childbirth. Skylar’s new sibling, Millenear, survived, but her mother did not. This only fueled Skylar’s rage at the world, for it had taken away her mother just when things had started to improve. For years Skylar poured that rage into the art of swordfighting. She would forsake social gatherings in favor of practice, scorn the empty headed nobles who worked towards marriage alliances while she trained. She often abandoned the noble areas in favor of the slums of the city, in which she could learn the ways of street fighting and how to survive in the harshest parts of life.

At age 17 Skylar became fed up with the marriage games that nobles her age had started to play. Rather than flutter about the court as if that was all she could do, she choose to leave. For the next four years she wandered Hyrule, helping out where she could, seeking distractions from her life, and just going where fate took her. Perhaps once every few months she will return home when her father sends messages demanding it, or when her sibling requests it. However, she is always quick to leave and go back to the wandering life she is most comfortable with.
