Flaws

- Driven Protector (+3) This character will risk his own life to protect the weak and innocent from others that would do them ill. From protecting people against monsters, to standing in the way of a guard who's only doing their job.
Korin stands at 5'10" and looks to weigh about 140lbs. On the skinnier side, has fair, short brown hair with a matching complexion. A closer inspection would reveal his hazel colored eyes, tanner colored skin, and leathery hands. Despite his less than perfectly structured appearance, he has noticeably larger muscles than the average person. One could speculate that such was formed out of hard work, rather than being fed hardy meals.
His current attire is of an average grade, a feat considering his eventual poorer upbringing. He wears a long pair of brown pants made of cotton and leather, surprisingly lacking in dirt and dust stains as well as a leather made belt to keep them secure. His long sleeved shirt, a faded white color also made out of cotton, was equally well cleaned. A professional tailor could probably tell that these items of clothing were custom made rather than bought as a lot of the stitching patterns were inconsistent, and the shirt had a bright yellow patch sowed onto the side of it. The color obviously chosen to try and blend the colors of the fabrics together. The only other thing worth noting that he was wearing besides his footwear which was nothing more than working boots, and his pieces of steel, was a necklace placed around his neck. A simple string that bared the symbol of the goddesses.
Personality:
One could describe Korin as being a kindhearted man from humble origins. Always the optimistic one and almost never taking anything for granted. Due to his childhood, Korin is a strong believer in "doing the right thing." At the same time however, he's also an advocate follower of "the truth" and is often confused by how quickly one can judge others, even if they are right most of the time. Because of this, he often disapproves of lying and tries to avoid it as much as he can unless he can somehow see a silver lining to it. He believes in giving others a second, third, or even a fourth chance which comes back to bite him often.
When it comes to the sinister or conniving however, Korin's demeanor drastically changes. He, nor his foster parents ever understood where his hatred for these types of people came from. Anyone who managed to do something to make Korin so upset with them could describe him as being very serious and straightforward, mean, or in some rare cases, even unforgiving. Secretly, Korin is ashamed of this radical behavior of his and tends to shun away from any mention of it.

History:
None who looked upon Korin would ever think that his childhood was anymore glamorous than his life today. Korin was born into a middle classed merchant family in Lon Lon Town with a loving mother and a wealthy father who was able to provide his family with more than enough to get by. They all often enjoyed warm meals and the comfortable surroundings of their home, and for a while life was good. However, it wasn't long before the family's prosperity began to dwindle.
A few months after his fourth birthday, Korin's mother fell ill. At first she assured her son and husband that it was nothing to worry about. A small cough here, or a sniffle there. She decided that instead of resting, she would help with the family's business of trading and business. Korin was too young at the time to remember the absence of remorse on his father's face when he learned the passing of his mother. The next day came and everything seemed to move along as normal. The only difference being Korin who woke up to a now eerily quiet home. He cried, waited, and cried some more as the day passed, waiting for his father to return home...he never did.
Fast forward several years, Korin now lives on a farm with his foster mother and father. Though they're poor and have to work hard just to get by, Korin couldn't be happier with his simple life. From time to time, he would often ask his new parents to tell him stories of how they had found him as a small child, roaming around the streets and crying with nothing more than his clothes, a sword, and a shield. They said he was the answer to their prayers and had been sent by the goddesses themselves to help their small farm grow. Recently however, Korin has aged into a fine young man. With nothing more than the stories from his foster parents, the memories from the farm, and the shield and sword he was mysteriously found with, Korin set off to travel the vast reaches of Hyrule to learn all that he could about the world he always secretly wished to explore.
