Physical Description:
Height: 5 feet, 9 inches. He is constantly hunched over, however, so he appears shorter.
Weight: 180 pounds, as he is incredibly malnourished
Skin Color: Dulled to a grey due to his curse
Eyes: A bright crimson color
Hair: A dark grey–ish black color extending down to the middle of his back.
Interesting Marks: A dark green crystal can be seen embedded into his chest. It can’t be removed, and serves as the catalyst for his eternal curse. The initials “AC” can also be seen branded onto his right shoulder.
Clothing: Ankou wears no shirt over his body, instead letting his chest and stomach show without remorse. He wears a face–fitting mask modeled after a skull, though it is more commonly known as an “Executioner’s Mask.” He wears clawed gauntlets that seem to be reminiscent of bone structure over what appear to be indigo bandages on his arms. A girdle can be seen attached to his waist with the insignia of a giant skull on it. He wears greaves that look to be bandaged over with brown tape, and the design going over his thighs appears to be made of bone. Sometimes he wears a purple cloak with a hood to guise his appearance, if necessary, but more often than not he’ll not go with a cloak. Most of these things, if not all of them, act as average armor for Ankou.

Personality: Despite the fact that his body is tormented with life eternal, he tries to make somewhat of a game out of his situation. Not all of his senses have dulled, but he tends to act in somewhat of a masochistic, bestial manner, whereas he was well–tempered and had decent morals before his curse forced him to stop aging. The way he moves, the way he fights, it’s elegant yet feral, graceful yet wild, tame yet predatory, almost as if he were an animal. Mentally, he is completely cold and calculating, able to find just about any kind of way to deal with any situation he finds himself in…be his method either fiendish or saintly.

There are times when, due to being alive for so long, he slips into fits of frenzied insanity. Either he can become fanatical about things, or he becomes more deadly when he fights. While it doesn't last long, or is not detrimental to his health, anyone traveling with him needs to beware his violent mood swings.

Family: Lost to history

Weapons & Talents: Before he became a Revenant, he was considered an "Eraser." An eraser’s talent is simply erasing an existence, either subtly or brutally, and Ankou has just the weapon for the latter case. He utilizes twin hand scythes in battle as an odd choice of weapon, but it still works for his wild fighting style. The poles are as long as his arms, and the scythe blades are also just as long. When he needs to get around from place to place, his scythes can fold up vertically and attach themselves to his outfit. These weapons are of average quality.

Sometime later, he found a way to combine his two scythes into a large, dual-edged scythe weapon of fine quality. While the two individual scythes are meant for speed, this one is meant for high power.

Magical Talents: Ankou was granted the power of magic at the time of his curse, but he never realized how to use it…until he figured it out and began practicing.

Abyssal Chain (Ranged) – An ethereal green aura surrounds Ankou’s right hand, and when he punches his arm out, a spiked chain with a bladed tip on the end can lash out and snare enemies for him to strike them…or the chain cuts them up. Either way works. Out of combat, he can use this ability similar to the way one would use a Hookshot.

Nightmare Asphyxia (Defense Debuff) – Ankou takes on the form of a horrifying monster to the eyes of the target, striking undeniable fear into all their senses as they lose all sense of how to fight or how to defend themselves for a momentary lapse…enough time for Ankou to cut the target down.

History: Ankou was an ordinary Sheikah living his life many, many years before the current day. He had a fantastic life and plenty of kids that went off to create branches for the Sheikah. However, being the Interitum family’s only survivor, Ankou bears a dark secret.

When Ankou was born, he was destined to die at the age of two through disease, as was prophesized by a local fortuneteller. Before Ankou’s second birthday, a man claiming he had the magic to save Ankou’s life visited the Interitum family. Ankou was their only son and, realizing that they may not have any more children, they took the man up on his offer, and the boy’s life was saved.

Cut to 63 years later. Ankou was suddenly visited one day by the same stranger, who stated his name to be “Arctos Chiroptera.” Arctos had claimed that it was time for the magic given to keep him alive to be repaid in full. At that moment, he tried to take Ankou’s life energy for his own, but before Ankou would die, a wound was inflicted onto the mage’s body. Some of his dark power was transferred into Ankou’s body, replacing the magic in his body allowing him to live a normal life with a dark magic that forced his body to stop aging.

Arctos, greatly weakened, vowed to have his revenge on Ankou as he slowly disappeared. Ankou was not allowed to celebrate his victory, as something began to formulate and glow an ethereal green color in his chest. It was his curse, and he could feel age no longer holding any restraints on him. The letters “AC” also appeared to be branded into his shoulders, signifying the one who did this to him…even though he brought it on himself.

Ankou’s legacy officially disappeared from the history records that night, with no one having any knowledge of who Arctos Chiroptera was or what he and Ankou had done to each other. But surely enough, as the rest of the Interitum clan died out, Ankou lived on, his curse keeping him locked into an ageless existence. He has seen Sheikah come and go throughout the years while silently watching society advance into the present day. He himself has forgotten how long it’s been since he was cursed, but it didn’t matter to him at all. As he bides his time until Arctos tries to take his life again, he has decided to venture out of hiding into the current day, curious to see just what all has happened since his disappearance.
