1. To send a message, simply type your message into the blank rectangle and hit “enter” on your keyboard.

2. To start a private conversation with another member, double click on that member’s name on the sidebar. A new tab with the member’s name on it will open. Private conversations that take place in this new tab can only be seen by you and the member you are talking to.

3. To switch back to the main chat, click on the tab that says “#RoH”. You can switch back and forth between private conversations and the main chat at any time.

4. To close a Private Conversation, right click on the tab where that conversation took place. An option to “close” it will come up. Click that and the tab will close.

5. To view who is currently in the chatroom, Just look at the sidebar. The names of everybody present will be listed there.

6. To leave the chat, click “disconnect” at the top of the screen. This will log you out.

7. To open the chatroom in a new window, click on the button displaying two squares at the top of the screen. A new window will then open. However, be sure that you DON’T close the original window, or the chat will automatically log you out.

Other Tips:

If you have multiple chat tabs open, and somebody posts in one that you don’t have displayed, the tab for that chat will flash red. This means there is a new message.

To register, type /msg nickserv register [yourdesiredpassword] [youremail]
Just take out the "[" symbols, send it, and you will be sent a conformation email.

After you've registered, to log into your account just type /msg nickserv identify [password]

Rules
The chat has no specific rules. If you become unruly or truly offensive, mods have the right to boot you. A thick skin is somewhat expected for usage.
