About Me
Physical Description: Toping off at 5’ 7”, this sturdy woman doesn’t strike much of an imposing figure, however when one coupled that with the weapons in her arsenal and the nickname “Killer Kenitt”, she’s fearsome indeed. Her wavy auburn hair and tanned skin allows her to blend in with the plains and with the rougher crowds of any town.
Her attire speaks of foreign heritage and provides her with a prickly demeanor, but a cursedly cute button nose and unusual eyes make her rather softer than she would like. Her body moves with a studied grace and economy of motion that takes years of honing and training to achieve.
History: Once the daughter of a wealthy Terminian merchant, Kaylin knew nothing but the sea and a fine living. She was foolish in her youth (around 13) and was wooed into eloping with a young man from Hyrule only to be thwarted by her beau running off with another girl. Alone with her young dreams dashed, Kaylin sought to find her way back to the ship of her family. However, her return to the sea was abrubtly changed when she was kidnapped by vagabonds and sold off to the gerudo women of the desert, nearly across the world from her familiar waterways. There she was a slave, forced to fight in raids and skirmishes. All connection with Terminia stopped and Kaylin was alone. Without her parents and without a country, she soon found herself working in the foreigner’s army.
Kaylin learned to fight there. At first working her way up through the lowest ranks and then, upon discovering she was an ace archer, skyrocketed up into a combat position. She grew in command and was at the forefront of most engagements. Her troops fought mainly the outer settlements of Hyrule and other nomadic forces seeking to extract from the clashing armies what supplies and ammunition or wealth they could.
During a skirmish she lost the middle finger on her right hand. Seeing as she was a right handed archer, she couldn't continue to be useful. They discharged her after 12 years of service, even before the blood had dried from her wound.
Kaylin now bears a brand on her right arm in the gerudo language that means "Freed for service". She will never be taken as a slave by the warrior women again, but that doesn't mean she doesn't fear their betrayal of her to her enemies in Hyrule, where she is now forced to live. Fearing what her family would think of her should she return, Kaylin seeks a way to right the wrongs committed against her and clear her past of its shame.
