Large wooden pegs had been driven into the ground. Markers threaded between each doing exactly as they were created for, marking out the general space that had been allotted for their construction. Some posts had orange painted on top signifying important pieces to the incomplete puzzle. An abundance of people were present, more than two handfuls were notably Gerudo and other members of the former opposite waring faction; the women similar and dwarfing over many of the Orderites that had accompanied himself.

Wagons heavy with supplies, tools and various inconsequential items had been loaded up for their general interest.

Resting a palm upon the pommel of his hammer, attention slowly surveyed around the general space. Not picking out anyone of interest yet but rather noting how there seemed to be groups of people. Even varying from that of the Gerudo, there were some astray hylians neither belonging to the Order or the outpost. Perhaps hired hands?

This was just the beginning after all.

Crossing into the area, Lyrik was squinting in the sunlight. Fitted with a wide brimmed hat to shade his eyes, he was still suffering so damned much from it. The Twili hissed, baring his teeth at just about anything he could see. Everything was offensive here. What was he even doing here! This wasn't anywhere he'd ever wanted to be anywhere near.

There were an awful lot of those desert women here. Gerudo, they were called. They were probably the only things he didn't find offensive. The desert was as full of them as it was Twili in the enclave. Though he had been adopted and raised by Hylians, he had seen the desert once or twice. It was the only place he could see other Twili as he saw so very few of them anyway. Zeris was the first he had seen in years it seemed. Maybe sometime he should pay a visit to the enclave and get an eyeful of his fellow shadowfolk.

Still, the presence of Gerudo and the lack of buildings did nothing to explain where he was. Ahead was a rather large looking man with a hammer. Ah! An authority person! He would have the answers! "Excuse me, love!" he called, approaching, "I couldn't help but notice this uh.. place. Let me explain, please. I am lost, there is no other way around it. I'll spare you the details save for I came traveling with a caravan expecting them to take me to civilization and instead I have wound up here. One question! Where is 'here'?"

A sense of direction was not something Lyrik Ion possessed. All of Hyrule just looked the same to him: Bland and bright and boring. All the towns and landmarks looked the same and all the people looked the same. Though that might have been partly because he'd never even seen most of the land.

They would need to start setting up a few tents. Perhaps one that had that of a masonry leader sitting at it so they could direct those who were idly to where they needed to go. Somewhere on the skirts of their plotted markers so not to impede the progress of the workers when they began. Curiously a few of the Gerudo women began moving aside. Thinking similarly as himself, he would have to take a moment when it arose to seek out whom among them was their current assigned leader. Or liasion would be the better term.

"Sir, would where would you like us to start stacking supplies?"

"We should spec to see if there is a viable spot for a quarry as well, as stone would be fitting to have this close to the borders." Assured by Lady Iris that they could dig depending how far away it was from this new town limits, Edric was keen on making sure Tarrey Town was the pinnacle of new materials and fashioning of buildings. Rauru lacked a lot of economic functions that he was certain would only be beneficial here. After that then they could potentially bring the builds back to Rauru when it needed to be expanded and updated. "As for supplies, let us stack it there-" Stretching an arm out to point to an allocated spot; the man bowed his head acknowledging his leadership.

Even as his mind wandered to the next task at hand, he had not realized there was a twili amongst the stragglers. "Can I be of service to you twilight folk?" Inquisitively asking that of the one who called him love, it became clear as he spoke that he had lost his way. "If you rode in on a caravan sir, then you rode in on one of the Order's wagons. We are currently building that of a civilization as you put it. As you are asking to where the location of here is, we are residing within the southern west aspect of Hyrule Field. Close to the border of the desert lands as you can see, but if you are looking for a deeper meaning for here; such a place would and shall eventually be called that of Tarrey Town." Wrapping his hands behind his back grasping at his wrist with one, Edric would stand at attention. "Does that suffice for you sir? I assume with your words of lost that you wish to return to that of a further along urban than the one that you stand empty on. May I assist you in procuring a ride back to either Rauru or Kasuto, perhaps?"

How joyous! The large man noticed his presence and answered him so readily and with such detail and information! Positively excellent. Now he could know exactly where he was and even had received a little bit as to the how he might have wound up here. "Those fiends!" he cried, "They did not tell me they were coming to this barren place to make a town! I had expected we'd be traveling to a town that was already completed and ready for business. A very big difference in the two you'd think a person would tell another before inviting them along to travel!"

He sighed most dramatically, pressing the back of his hand to his forehead. "I think I may have been too eager to leave that I did not fully comprehend as I too could have asked exactly where they were headed and saved myself such a drastically wrong turn. This is as far from a full town as I have been in many many years. It's astonishing how empty the landscape can get along the roads." He shot up a finger, "Ah. But I have seen the desert before so this helps to bring me more of a grasp on exact whereabouts."

He rubbed his hands together as he looked out at the building sight, very curious in it despite the fact there were no music halls nor groups of people looking for Lyrik Ion to sing to them. "I will probably eventually wish to return, but as I am here now, I should like to have a look around if that's acceptable. Maybe you can tell me more about this curious project. Tarrey Town you say. Already it has a name when it's still piles of lumber and spaced out plots. Will it be as grand as, say, Kasuto or Rauru when it's finished? How long will it take to build?" He truly had no idea why he was so interested. Probably because he was easily bored and had nothing better to do. He had just gotten through a long and boring caravan ride and wasn't exactly looking forward to yet another so soon. Wagons were so bumpy and harsh and dirty!

The twilight folk was easily excited it would appear. Going off in a dramatic word for word replay of his account, doing well to stress and constrict major and minor points. Why, he even readily admitted that it was perhaps a better investment of his former time to have inquired to where the caravan’s were heading.

“Sir?” Someone came to his side with an unfurled scroll. Glancing dismissively over the document, pointing that of a hand to his left and a deep nod would dispatch that of the hired hand to do as softly instructed. He would not be rude to interrupt that of the twilight being.

This project is under the eyes of The Order as a definitive push forward to aid and mend rifts between the Gerudo and former Dragmirian empire. They do not leave items unfinished even that of names. Tarrey Town was hand picked by that of the Order and the Gerudo Liaison.” Turning that of his head only, Edric nodded firmly. “Yes, this will be as grand as either Rauru or Kasuto. Perhaps more so.” He was highly curious for someone who mistakenly made the trek this way. “If you would like, you may accompany me as I answer your questions, sir.” Putting weight onto his left heel to pivot stiffly, he would step forward in timed unison.

The build will depend on whom and how many decide they wish to lend a hand or funds to the project. In the scheme of The Order, it should take six months. In the scheme of realism with the understanding and knowledge of glitches, mistakes and setbacks, I would believe this to take a year or more. Alas, I am prepared to have my concept destroyed and marvel at the speed of those eager to help.” Edric paused in the middle of the open plot. Looking to his right then left and repeating twice over. “If I may be so bold sir, if you had an idea of a new town to build, what would you suggest should be built. Kasuto has many bars. Rauru has many homes. I would like to see this place have the functionality and enjoyment of both without the sterilization and characterization of neither. You appear to be the entertainment variety, perhaps you would be kind enough to offer insight on such a subject should you feel as if you could offer said insight.

With an eager clap of his hands, Lyrikai would trot along after this large man so he could show off their eventual to be town. Grander than Kasuto or Rauru! He should love to see that! If he was so barred from entertaining in Kasuto while the angle made her roost there, then he would be needing new grounds to perform upon. Maybe such a place as this could be useful to him in the future.

"As you sound so eager and sure of it already, I can come to a reasonable theory that it will indeed be as grand as you claim it. When one is so proud of a vision and will do what it takes to fulfill it, the end result, while not always exact, will be just as miraculous and marvelous as one can dream. I myself have many visions and I strive to fulfill them!"
The Twili grinned beneath his hat. A fellow visionary was to be respected. While building a town and creating a new revolution in beautiful music were vastly different, both were an art form to be seen and loved for years to come. Where Lyrikai's music would continue to be heard and loved for a long time, a town could last for centuries and never be forgotten.

Curiously, the man was asking him opinions. Ooh how he loved giving opinions! "Of course," he beamed cheerfully, "I am indeed of the entertainment variety. My name is Lyrik Ion, and I am a well known musician. Therefore, my first suggestion would be something along the lines of a grand music hall. People work and live so much better when their morale and their spirits are high and music is as uplifting as it is beautiful to soothe one's soul. You cannot go wrong with a little entertainment to keep your town lively."

If he were a prideful person, Edric was certain he personally would have beamed at the thought that this twilight folk was making proud statements of Tarrey Town before its actual psychical existence. "It is but a small piece that we mortals can achieve." Confirming to the idea that they all had something to strive towards and visions upon their own personal horizons; Edric remained untouched. "The Order has done well to make sure all items are mostly covered. Although it is as you say sir, while not always exact." Offering that of a small smile suggesting Edric was content with that; he'd be lying if he weren't far more curious to know the other man's thoughts.

Asking the question he had been hopeful that the other would be able to give him an inkling of understanding that didn't include his already focused thoughts of order.

He was not let down. Although the name of the man did not strike him as familiar, he would attribute this to his main focus always being what directive the Order gave. It did not allow him much time to wind down and offer attention to things behind their control. He was not busy but he was not still either.

"A music hall." Gloved fingers stroked carefully on the hammers pommel. "Yes, I have heard that such places as Kasuto and Hera have places such as that. Although I must admit, I am personally not familiar with them. Creative arts are not my strong suit." By his armor and his attitude, it wouldn't be much to disbelieve. "Ah yes," Slowly he declined his chin into his chest. "I do believe your insight is quite correct Master Ion. Morale is much higher when those of civilian status are given the opportunity to have some entertainment. I have read much about such activities and seen many papers on said studies. I do believe you are onto something wise. Although in such similar statement, I do not think I am currently equipped to build anything to that calibre. We did not bring along anyone who has knowledge of what is necessary to create such places either." If it were any other person, any other place, any other directive; Edric would not even consider the next phrase.

"Master Ion, would you be interested in building such a place? Here. Within Tarrey Town. I would defer to your intelligence on such matter should you be interested."

"I had come from Kasuto to see the supposedly grand music hall that was there," Lyrik confirmed, though sadly added, "However, I was told it was closed. What a very tragic shame it was. I was so looking forward to staying there and exercising my fingers to the strings of my precious Lola." He patted his guitar lovingly where it hung across his back, "Unfortunately, it was not meant to be. I did meet a beautiful, musical angel, but then we too parted ways. I am once again without a place or a purpose, terribly bored."

Though, perhaps he had just found himself a new purpose here. His intelligence praised, he was asked and offered to make such a wondrous place here. To make his mark upon an up and coming town would be more than just a huge honor! The Twili slowly rubbed his hands together, leather gloves squeaking from the friction. "I do think I can offer a large amount of expertise to a project like this. I am already thinking of so many ideas." He could design something here that would be even better than this supposed grand music hall in Kasuto! Not like he was impressed with it anyway as it had been so inconveniently closed the moment he came there to give it some well needed business. Pathetic. They weren't going to make money like that.

"I would be truly honored to stay here a while and help in the designing of a dazzling hall like no other."
This didn't mean he was going to have to do... hard labor... did it? Disgusting! That was not what he was signing up for, but time would tell what this entailed. "Where would you like for me to start, sir? Do you have paper that I might start drawing out something for you?" Not hard labor. Please don't say hard labor!

Edric had to note how talkative this twilight folk was. Information seemed to pour out of him at the ready, with or without prompting. Curiously, Edric would have to keep mental notes about this Lyrik Ion. Even as he spoke about some thing called Lola doing well to make it very clear with an affectionate pat to the guitar, there was only a slight shift in his posture. So Kasuto’s little music venue had shut down. Well that only meant they would have less competition should the need arise.

There were people beginning to move stone and wood alike to designated areas. Another scraping large X’s into the ground. Enough so that Edric took a careful back step and turned encouraging Mr. Ion to follow him. Less they get in the way. “I am pleased that you are already excited at the idea of helping build something monumental for Tarrey Town. Of course, there is more work than just simple conversation.” Coming to step over one of the pegs in the ground, hands recupped behind his back. Standing at ease, focus moved along the plotted land. “I would suppose the first thing at hand for you Mr. Ion, is to decide location. Another, what materials you need. Next potentially a draft of appearance, then hired hands and general construction.” Diverting his attention sideways to that of the twilight, “Let us not put the cart before the horse Mr. Ion. Location first.” Lifting a hand to point almost dead centre from their current position, “At the very end where that gentleman is hunched, scraping multiple motions in the dirt will be the location of the town hall. The centre point, beyond that you may pick a place that you believe will be suitable for this Music hall. I follow your lead for now, Mr. Ion.

He was pleased. Well of course he was pleased! Everyone in Hyrule should be most pleased when the magnificent and beautiful Lyrik Ion wanted to offer his help and expertise. To give this soon to be town a flair of his own creation should be one of the greatest honors! Everyone then would know that a most beloved celebrity had his hand in its creation and it would add so very much to the standing and bring in so many tourists.

The Twili flashed his perfectly white teeth, dazzling the large man with his best smile. Even in this horrendous sunlight, he was feeling so alive. The hat also helped, shading his face and allowing him the ability to see without his eyes burning, blinded by the terribly bright light.

    "I understand,"
he answered, "Location first and then materials. And then afterwards I might be able to draw up something." He wiggled his entire body, hands together. "Oooh I'm so excited! This sounds like a lot of fun! I won't have to be hauling lumber and tools now, right? That is what these hired hands are for, correct? It isn't that I am against such work." Oh yes yes yes he was. "I am a musician and my hands are precious. If they get permanently injured somehow, I will never be able to play again. It's a risk I don't know if I can take. I am an artist, sir, not a heavy lifter." He held up a finger. He didn't want to be kicked out of this project just yet, so he added, "But I will do my best and put in my work where it is needed, love."

It was then that he realized he might have actually been babbling nonsensically while he followed the man who had been talking as well. He stopped short, looking out to the location pointed out where there would be such a town hall. "Ah this is a good location for a town hall. Right in the center. As it should be. Now, if you are following my lead, I would suspect a place of entertainment, somewhere for gathering people from all around the town, it should not be at one end or the other. It should be as short of a distance as possible from as many people as possible. That way it favors none and all are welcome without having to travel too far out of their way."

Considering the length of the hat wearing one whilst he gave a long run down of what he was enthusiastic for, Edric wouldn’t have even considered the being to be one of hard labour. He was dressed as if he were ready for a ball to break out any moment, not to mention he was wearing gloves. Unlike himself where the gloves were black, leather and chainmail over the back to protect said hands, Mr. Ion’s appeared to be white. Pristine. Without a mark on them. Using that logic, he would think that the twili’s hands would be considerably the same. Unmarked, uncalloused and soft. So, his statement that his hands were precious was met with a polite nod. No, he wouldn’t peg this fellow for someone who would be willing to lift anything heavier than a quill. "Your dedication will be greatly appreciated, Mr. Ion."

Standing straight and ready, tipping his head slightly to the right to heed the words that the twilight man offered, “Agreed. Most people during the times of Rauru, spend the majority of their civilian lives closer to the market or tavern.” Others were devoted to the Order and any time was spent there in its great halls or out on the open road, completing tasks given. “Would you suggest we build potentially close to that of the Town Hall, or closer to that of the eventual market district?” He’d ask curiously making sure he was gauging the man’s thoughts correctly.

Lyrik pondered the man's words. Had he said his name yet? If he had, Lyrikai had not caught it. Though, that wasn't a surprise. He so rarely listened to people talk about themselves. He cared mostly about himself and others just got drowned out in the process. It wasn't his fault, just how he had grown and developed, and he was striving to maybe try to fix it and start paying attention to something other than his own magical realm of music and love and spread out and try to... socialize. The mere word in his head made him want to gag, but he could suppress it.

    "Thank you kindly, love,"
the Twili remarked, fingers tapping together in his precious clean gloves. "I shall not let you down here. For if I were to do that, I would also be letting myself down and that cannot be so. I am greatly dedicated to making something marvelous that I might perform in and entertain your most wonderful people here as well as yourself." Something as well that he might call his own and possibly try to tag his name on at the end and maybe own as his own personal music hall.

    "Hmm.."
He looked left then right, tapping fingers to his chin while he did. "Would placing it near this lovely future town hall be too inconvenient for important business going on? It might be so. A music hall would take in a lot of people and where there are many people, there is a lot of noise. That and the music itself will carry through the air and create noise on its own. It might be preferable in an already busy part of town where there's entertainment a plenty. What do you think, sir?"

Chatty. Yes, the twili seemed very content to talk an ample amount but they didn’t seem to be bothering himself personally. Just another style of mortal that walked the earth. So long as the twili wasn’t causing harm or annoying others, Edric was perfectly content to merely listen and absorb any details of information that he would offer. About himself, or anything around him. After all, the most vital resource was that of their inhabitants and he could learn much about a person after a little bit of time. It wasn’t lost on Edric to note that the twili was very clearly making this endeavor a project that would boost his popularity. Whatever help the man maintain a level of focus did not falter his intrigue currently. “I trust your judgment and intuition Mr. Ion.

Adjusting his steps in the soil, straightening and only temporarily giving a glance across his shoulder when another came up to request his muted attention; one ear was on Lyrik and another on that of the grunt. “I would surmise too close and we may have numerous complaints from one building or another. A flow of pedestrian traffic is best to consider as well as volume expectations. So perhaps we can deem the location of your music hall the begin of the entertainment district as this will be considered a town and not that of a hamlet or village.” Edric turned his gaze across the open field, “Yes, gridding out the town into sections would be wise, using the town hall as the first point of interest.” Another look and he wondered if they could acquisition that of a small work table to draft up a general concept. “I believe you are wise in your assessment Mr. Ion. Close to town hall would not be acceptable, but we would not want to drift too far that your area is ignored.

Turning to look around realizing the former grunt at his side disappeared, Edric made an overall beckoning wave for anyone who might be eager enough. A few looks. Eventually someone seemed curious enough to sidle up with a careful step, giving himself and the twili long look overs. Eventually relenting with a polite nod of their head. “Please see if you can acquire that of a small desk or bench and a parchment of blank.” Steadily issuing requests, the man nodded. Acknowledging without needing a second set of instructions. “Mr. Ion, I would like to request your assistance to help grid that of the town. We can use that of your music hall as a landmark as well and begin even assembling appropriate places to set up other locations.

Lyrikai hummed, drumming his fingers lightly against the neck of his guitar as he thought about this. There was a lot to consider. Such a grand music hall needed an equally as grand placement to bring in just as many guests as possible. One or two patrons a night would just not settle. There needed to be far more or the establishment would hardly make any money at all. Plush, Lyrik Ion could not settle for only a few people. He needed a grander audience that would spread his music to every corner of Hyrule!

"I have high hopes we can make this beautiful,"
he would muse, flashing his shiny teeth, "We will work wonders together and figure out where the best placement for such the best buildings." Why with Lyrik Ion's help, this town would be even better than that of Kasuto or Rauru! Who needed those towns each so full of themselves! This would be even better!

"I have nothing but time that I may dedicate to this project. I have no other affairs that require me or even wish for me, so I am all yours to work with until this is done and I have I all figured out. I will promise you something worth it, sir. Would you be enlisting me in helping place any other buildings? What do you require in this town?"
His time was precious, but at the moment he had absolutely nothing to do with it. It was so very boring.

Giddily, the Twili clapped his hands together. "Oh I am so very excited for this! Are you also excited?" Hopefully this man was excited. Maybe as excited as Lyrikai was. There was no sense in doing this sort of work if it didn't excite you after all. Why would anyone ever want to be stuck doing something they hated? It just made no sense.

Beauty was merely just an aesthetic piece that he overly did not know if he should care about. If the building provided shelter, stood upright and was successfully in achieving the end goal, then whatever beauty it had was beyond his need to comprehend. Or even entertain a thought about. But it appeared this Lyrik was all about appearances if his attire had anything to say about it. Flashy. Colourful. Noisy a little but not unpleasant.

Shifting in his heels letting his hands fall forward once he noticed a being carrying a squat looking table towards them; Edric nodded along to Lyrik’s excitement. A thump and the desk were put down. A papery splat and said parchment was down, a quill offered only shortly after the fountain was set down. Politely thanking the other and sending them on their way; Edric side stepped. Lining his shoulders to the corners of the table and bent to do a primary crude sketch on the paper. Dotting the general location of the town, then the hall and where they were currently standing. All for the sake of visual representation. “If you are interested in still helping after you have succeeded in your building Mr. Ion, I would not turn away your keen eye or creative mind.” Leaning back slightly displeased and altering a quick thing on the parchment, it was a very lackluster grid of the town. Naturally it wasn’t supposed to be something of wonder, just something they could work loosely on.

We will require a market place, places of all businesses. Our goal of course it to amount to an actual town, not that of a village like Kasuto or Rauru. By logistical representational stand point of course. I would not be surprised if we could blend in some unique things into that of Tarrey town but we also must consider this is a place of unified use. A middle ground for that of Gerudo and Hyrule alike. Perhaps some places for the use of our truce agreement would be useful?” he looked to Lyrik debating if the man may have some understanding of what a Gerudo or another former enemy of the sages would need.

"Yes!" Lyrikai cried joyously, hands raised gleefully, waving through the air like some kind of flag in the wind. He was obviously excited. Obviously. If no one could tell. "I would be more than happy to offer as much help as I can muster." He truly did have nowhere better to be and this place desperately needed a loving touch. The most he was getting from this mysterious man is he was quite a big fellow and very direct. All business, Lyrikai assumed. Even though one should never assume, he did it quite often.

"I am certain I can come up with some nice creative touches anywhere you might find them useful."
Maybe what this place would need was some color. Hmmm. Pink sounded like an excellent choice. Perhaps pink flags and paint, shutters on the windows. He was already imagining it. It was majestic in his head. Hopefully it would be just so in reality.

"I'm quite familiar with the Gerudo,"
he added then, a thoughtful look on his face. "I don't know many myself, but I know they occupy that of the desert, correct? Somewhere out there near the remains of that prison." Whether a literal prison or just a name they might call some pitiful refugee camp for twilit folk, he really didn't know. he'd heard the stories, but barely knew anything of the place himself. "Of course, I was raised far from there when your Hylian kind found me and took me in. I'd like to visit it someday." Maybe it was better than he had been led to believe.

Hands clapped together, he adjusted his gloves. "Now I suppose you would want such a place built as soon as possible that it might be ready for people to move in. I have seen so many poor and homeless people in this land. It looks rather pitiful if you ask me. Will they be living here potentially?"

Nodding where it was applicable and necessary; personally, Edric wasn’t all that invested in creative touches. Therefore, he was asking the twili. So long as his creative touches weren’t gaudy and over the top, then he wouldn’t be interjecting. Yet he would not leave Lyrik entirely to his own, he would have either himself or someone appointed from the Order or Gerudo populace to monitor his activity.

They freely move between the lands. A majority still remains within the desert, but they are known to travel when they are ready to find a husband.” Stating that so clearly, he would shift his position back into one of comfortable attention. Lodging away the rest of the man’s conversation noting that he was not raised in the similar situation as his twili brethren, Edric didn’t offer much in the way of personal conversation.

This was not personal time. This was business and he was most certainly sticking to that agenda.

Yes, we currently have those gathering supplies such as wood, stone and whatever other not descriptive items as necessary. But for your further question; yes, there is planned to have a living district within Tarrey Town so those can live here. It would be easier for those who plan on running the town to live within it rather than hours if not days away.” Turning his attention around making sure yet again that all around them was in order; “Is there anything else you will require Mr. Ion?

Lyrikai watched the man closely, letting eyes drift up and down his frame. He wouldn't say that man was awful from what he could tell. He was very big in comparison at least to poor little Lyrik Ion, and maybe a little intimidating, but still he liked this man. He had yet to get his name, but he certainly liked him. There was just something about him that intrigued the Twili. All business, not clingy or pushy. It was perfect. They would be friends, most certainly.

    "It's a good location for a town,"
he noted, "I can see the appeal in wanting to live in a place like this. I mean the location, not the town of course as it's yet to be completed. The sky is quite pretty here, though I can't look at it the same as you can. When the sun is shining high, it burns my eyes. I am far more fond of the nighttime. I imagine the stars are wonderful to see here with such a big, open sky." The stars reminded him very much of the darkness he was more comfortable in. The black skies and the faint, glowing stars were homey and familiar. It was the vast opposite of the bright and scalding sun that offended him too much.

    "As for your question, no,"
he answered, shaking his head slowly, "I believe I'm set. To have paper and a pen that I may pull ideas from my head is the first step. I cannot do a thing else to help until I've made my suggestions a physical material, sir." Sir Nameless. He would just have to make up a name for this man if he couldn't remember if it was stated what he was called. If it had been, well now it was too rude of him to ask again. Mister Brawn. Oh no no that would not do. Steve? No, that made no sense. Alphonse. Yes, that seemed fitting.

Giving the previously fetched table a good strong pat; Edric nodded firmly. “If you need anything further Mr. Ion please do not hesitate to ask.” It was in this moment that the military man realized his lack of proper introduction. Such a foolish mistake that would only serve to annoy him further. “In such a moment of request you may need to use my name which I must apologize for not giving sooner.” He could offer excuses to why he had forgotten. But, they would be just that. Excuses. Simply useless and would do little to really alter the situation.

Edric Barrett.” Perhaps he assumed most of those around the general location knew his name. Although Lyrik stated that he had just arrived, so it was another silly mistake to assume.

There were more wagons filled with people arriving. Some ready with their attire clearly stating they would be digging out plots when they were directed. Others were adorned with clean clothing. Business men that were here to check out the prospect of new ideas. “If the sun bothers you Mr. Ion—” He was listening and had heard the twili stated previously how the sun bothered him; Edric pointed towards the outskirt. A few tents had been erected in the time they had been speaking, “I will be within this tent here. Drafting what needs to be done if not meeting with others who are interested in Tarrey Town.” He would not insist that Lyrik join him as he did not want to impose. “You are welcome any time.” Politely he tipped his head as someone drew his attention. Momentarily that was resolved with a quick flick of his hand.

It was one of those nights where the seasons had not yet truly shifted from Fall to Winter, the chill creeping into the once warm nights which raised the fine hairs upon her skin. But the hooded figure sprinting through the woods paid no heed to this, her heavy breaths visible in the air. What had happened was not her doing, she was no traitor to Hyrule! The screaming accusations still rang inside her head and forced her on, navigating the forest paths as if a map had been built inside her mind. The way to go primed inside her muscles, her body singing with adrenaline. Despite all her power, despite everything. There was blood on her hands. No power in Hyrule could change this now. Her lungs burning from the strain and her mind in disarray...

The first light of Dawn touched Kaythenia's face and she sat up abruptly from her position on the ground, panting heavily as if she had been running a great distance. Then the pain splintered behind her eyes and the Bard pinched the bridge of her nose between her forefinger and thumb, squeezing her eyes tightly shut. She remained this way until the sharp pangs subsided into a dull thud behind her eyes, Kaythenia felt as if she should have drunk her weight in ale even though such a thing was nonsense, she never touched a drop, preferring to keep her wits about her at all times. Experimentally she opened her eyes, shielding them from the early light with one hand as she glanced around her makeshift camp. Last night's fire was nothing but smouldering embers in a shallow pit.

    “Seriously? Again?”

Kaythenia groused, rubbing her temples. She glanced skyward. “Not funny.” Like she was going to get an answer! Honestly, it was some kind of cosmic joke. Creepy, creepy dreams and they just kept on coming. She shook her head and tried to rid herself of the remnants of it while she covered the remains of the fire, before hunting in her pack for some breakfast. She knelt down, crunching on an apple as she drew out the silk wrapped Tarot deck. Laying out the cards, three up, three across. Flicking them over. With a deep sigh, it was just as she had anticipated. Same cards just kept on popping up. She glowered at the blasted oak card as it appeared, again, for the third time this week, then the guardian, the hooded man, ace of vessels, the seer, ten of bows. In a mood now, she stood up and looked to her horse.

“Are you seeing this? It’s getting ridiculous!”

The piebald mare looked up briefly from grazing, as if only to question why she was being disturbed for such an inane question.

“And don’t look at me in that tone of voice.”

It did occur to her that she was having a one sided argument with a horse, but nightmares and a bad reading would do that to anyone. She picked up the cards, shuffled the deck again and wrapped them back up in the silk, replacing them in her pack. Kaythenia needed to see civilisation again before she started telling the steed her life story. Taking on last bite out of the apple, she offered the rest to the mare.

“Come on then, there’s got to be somewhere near by.”

‘I have got to stop doing this.’

It was easily another hour’s ride, keeping a close eye on her surroundings as always. Force of habit these days. Before spotting in the distance what looked like a cluster of tents, lots of them and plenty of activity going on. A real mish-mash of people too, Gerudo, Hylians...and as she grew closer she realised they were building, well, building something. Construction wasn’t exactly her strong suit. But it did occur to her it could be an excellent place to blend in for a little while, it had people for starters, lots of them, maybe fill her purse and stop talking to the Goddess-damned horse?
