    Given Name: ???
    Taken Name and Nicknames: Rook(T), Crow(N), Red(N)
    Trade Name: The Red Crow
    Age: ~30
    Height: 6’1’’
    Weight: 175 lbs
    Eye Color: Pale green
    Hair Color: Dark Auburn

Physical Description: Rook’s appearance is rugged, sporting a relatively short but thick beard and keeping his unkempt hair cut just long enough for a ponytail. Given the full covering he usually wears, it is difficult to glean much at a glance as to his build save that he is neither particularly scrawny, nor anywhere near large. His clothes are worn and beaten, comprised mostly of medium colored leathers. A thick cloak that must have once been a vibrant green color can usually be seen on his shoulders, bleached into a dull olive color by the elements. In the winter, his shoulders are covered with the hide of a grey wolfos, and a broad brimmed slouch hat can usually be spotted on his head in foul weather.

He makes no effort to hide his profession, weapons worn within easy reach and in plain view. Two broad headed throwing axes rest on his hips, a skinning knife in one boot, and a filleting knife in the other. Most prominent of his tools however is the goron made recurve bow that usually rests on his back, and the quiver full of heavy arrows. Among the man’s most prized possessions, the excessive draw weight took nearly a decade to work up to before finally being able to use it properlyproperly. Comparable in strength to the best hylian longbow, the weapon allows Rook to make quick and accurate work of even long distance shots without needing to carry around what may as well be a quarterstaff.

Personality: Rook is a patient, solitary, and relatively quiet individual. While generally polite, he maintains a stony exterior and is notably stoic with regards to personal hardship. Those few that manage to get a peek behind the veil find an amicable and generally caring soul, if a bit eccentric. His primary motivator is his conscience and while he obeys the laws of the territories he enters, it is mostly for convenience rather than any notion that they are particularly binding. In a similar vein, he has no issues putting himself in harm’s way if it means keeping someone he sympathizes with out of it.

History: Rook’s history prior to somewhere around his eleventh birthday is unknown. He appeared at Talus Cave in the night, bloodied, his clothes in tatters, and on the verge of starvation. The goron nursed the apparently wordless child slowly back to health, though his wounds and the shock of whatever happened to him was slow to fade. He spent his first year of the White Peace within the Cave before being sent to Katsuto in the hopes that he could be better tended to.

Once there, he was placed under the care of an old sheikahn healer named Grey Brekham. Grey started to crack the shell the boy had made around himself by wandering the fields and patches of forest near the village, helping to gather the herbs and ingredients necessary to help keep the villagers healthy. It wasn’t until the old sheikah tried to train the boy to use a bow that much progress was made however. Rook became hooked after his first lesson, practicing until he split his fingers open. The first sign of communication came shortly after the event, laughing with joy after landing three consecutive arrows within the center ring of the target.

Grey managed slowly to pull conversation out of the child, though he was careful not to press him on where he’d come from. After managing to broach conversation with Rook, progress on his recovery accelerated greatly. When Rook’s skill exceeded Grey’s capacity to tutor further, Rook studied under a local huntsman, and then eventually a retired survivor of the thirty year war. It was sometime during this period that strange incidents began to occur around the boy, with villagers occasionally catching glimpses of him with a crow on his shoulder or speaking to nothing at all.

Despite these instances and the general feeling that the young man was a little off, it’s likely that Rook would have stayed in the village if not for the passing of Grey. The elderly sheikah passed in the winter of Rook’s eighteenth year, severing the budding ties he had to the village and its people. Without any children, Rook was the sole heir of Grey’s possessions. He put the meager inheritance to work quickly, purchasing durable traveling gear and the tools that would serve him for the near future. With hardly a word to anyone in the village, Rook departed the town and set off to pursue his calling.

Rook spent the following years primarily as a trapper and a hunter, earning a meager wage for himself and establishing a small name for himself within Hyrule’s varied communities. He moved with the seasons, departing each location before roots could be set into the soil. With time he refined a loose schedule, moving between Death Mountain and the Hera Outpost in the Spring, Rauru and the Haunted Forest in the Summer, the Blue Maiden and Tantari Desert in the Fall, and Katsuto and the Trilby Highlands in the winter. Over the years he slowly developed at least passable relations with most of the races of Hyrule, enough at least to earn safe passage and the right to trade.

Over the course of this effort, the hylian found greater leaps in trust by serving the various communities, and progressively moving towards dealing with unwanted troubles. Though he started initially with monsters, this eventually progressed into tracking down or dealing with known trouble makers of a more intelligent variety as well. With that said, he typically takes what reward is offered in the form of goods rather than currency, and refuses to take anything when it comes to dealing with troublesome stalkin. Indeed, for at least two weeks a year, the hunter makes a point of slipping into the Harkinian Ruins and hunting the undead simply to help rid the land of their scourge. Even in years when it is not safe to take even a single target, he finds the scouting effort worthwhile. He does the work for personal reasons, and keeps his trips almost entirely secret.

Associated Rumors and Stories(Some true, some untrue):
