Everyone had a good breakfast, packed their things, and hit the road with little dawdling. Though the night's rest was interrupted, it still was enough to get them through the creepy forest near Varus's cabin. There was no sign of monsters, and even some birds could be heard chirping.

Eventually, they came to the farm they dropped Skyden's wagon off at, and they were able to make the journey back to Rauru village without incident, and better yet, not on foot. Well, almost. It had started to rain on the way there, but it was pretty light. Still, by the time they got to the town, the rain had stopped, but everyone would have been soaked...

Skyden tried to offer the others to use some of the tarp from his tent, though it was pretty awkward. At least Matilda was small enough to stay dry. Unfortunately aside from that, he didn't have anything else to offer Melody, Jace, or the others.

It was evening now, as they rode through the streets. Skyden hoped Mrs. Tweed's shop was still open. He pulled up on the side of the street. There didn't appear to be any lights on in the house, but surely she hadn't gone to bed yet?

  2. Melody had remained quiet through most of the ride back to Ms.Tweed's house. When they arrived at her old house they saw that no lights were on. Melody hoped nothing bad had happened Ms.Tweed. Did she somehow cause more trouble for others? She really hoped Ms.Tweed was just sleeping. She bit her lip maybe they should go to the Inn nearby and stop in tomorrow. She turned towards her traveling companions and asked, "Maybe we should go to the Inn for the night and stop by first thing tomorrow morning to talk Ms.Tweed." She wanted to make sure Matilda's wing healed before she left to continue her trip back to the original person she was sent on the delivery to The Silver Stag for. She did promise Skyden she'd lead him there, but after everything that happened she wasn't so sure he wanted to travel with her any longer. All she seemed to do was get Skyden and the others into dangerous situations.

  3. As the two of them stood around the door, Varus simply walked by and knocked on it. "Miss Tweed? It's Varus we're here with the berries," he called into the shop. He turned to look at Melody and Skyden. "Oh, uh, don't worry she stays up late in the back room working on new remedies and whatnot. She'll still be up."

As if on que, a familiar old lady opened the door, "Hello? Oh, it's you, please come inside," she said as she ushered in the group. Vaurs helped her light several candles around the room making for a more welcoming abode. She ran into the back for a moment as Varus sat down in one of the chairs. not moments later she reemerged with her hands full of different equipment and materials, which she promptly dumped onto the table. "Now where's that, Ah there it is!" she exclaimed running over to a shelf reaching, fruitlessly, up at a small vial at the very top. "Hey, Varus could you reach and grab that for me?" Varus smiled and grabbed the vial off the top and handed it to her.

She began murmuring a checklist under her breath, going through all the things that were on the table. "Ok that's everything we need for this," she seemed to stop herself at that moment of realization, "Except the moonberries that you all worked so hard to get." she reached her hand out expectantly toward Varus.

"Oh, uh, I don't have it. Melody does." he said moving so that miss Tweed could see melody clearlly.

  4. Jace was glad to be going back into town. Sure he had fun on their little camping excursion, but he had had enough of roughing it and was looking forward to get back to civilization. Not even the rain could ruin his mood, but even so Jace put his cape above his and Melody's heads to keep themselves dry. It would be good to see Ms. Tweed again. She and Jace had a lot in common. They both had lived in the city for a while and were both capable healers. And while Jace simply magically placed his hands on someone and allowed the magic of the natural world to flow through him to heal someone, Ms. Tweed worked in a much more mundane and scientific manor that was no less spectacular. She used herbs and plants and berries and the occasional animal part, which she mixed and heated and liquified and ground and mashed and did all kinds of things to in order to create potions and salves and ointments and creams, all of which can treat injuries from a simple rash to even a broken bone- or in our case, wing. Although Jace knew his method was much easier and simpler than Ms. Tweed's, he was still in awe of it all.

When Melody suggested that they stay in the inn for the night, Skyden's heart fell a bit.

"What?! After all that? Oh no no no! You wake the old lady up from her evening nap right this instant!" Matilda complained, perhaps more in desperation than spite.

Thankfully Varus knew her better than the rest of them, and he thought she was up, so Skyden followed inside with the others. Soon the place was cozy with candlelight again. Skyden plopped down on a comfy chair and looked over at Ms. Tweed. "Once you get everything, how long do you think it would take to make the medicine?" he asked.

"Oh..." the lady began, and it seemed perhaps her brain short-circuited and her face and body froze in place. Till she suddenly turned and said, "Not long dear. In plenty of time to brew a nice cup of tea for everyone. Do you all take cream and sugar? Oh dear, and I think I seem to have misplaced my favorite tea strainer..." she said, seemingly more concerned now about brewing tea than the medicine for Matilda's wing.

Skyden instinctively put a hand over the fairy as she kicked it. "Ahem. Uhm. Maybe we could get the medicine started first, then do tea while we wait?"

He looked over toward Melody and whispered, "Where are the berries?"

  6. Melody quickly hid behind Jace from Matilda's shouting the fairy was terrifying when she wanted to be. She felt once again useless seeing as Jace was covering her with his cape in the rain. She would've been fine getting a little wet it wasn't the end of the world if she got wet from the rain. Melody opened up her bag and searched through it for the berries. She pulled out a small jar filled with the moon berries and handed them to Ms.Tweed. "Here you go Ms.Tweed. We made sure to get more than enough just in case a situation like this arises for other Kokiri's fairies."
She was planning on leaving after the medicine was made for Matilda's wing she was and will always be nothing but trouble for other. She honestly couldn't think of one thing she's done right throughout this adventure. Sure she got the moonberries, but she had to be saved by the others once again. Matilda never would've been injured had she not met Skyden.

  7. "Why thank you little one i'm sure you did an amazing job of finding those berries," Ms. Tweed gave her a once over spotting the bruises and dirt stains from their late night scuffle with the Wolfos. She leaned into Varus, "You had better tell me all about this later."

"Sure thing," Varus replied with a slight chuckle. With that Ms. Tweed grabbed the berries and set off to work. She grabbed several tools and some other herbs that were necessary for the potion she was making. Ms. Tweed's hands works like they had a mind of their own often doing multiple things at once. She noticed Jace's fantasism with her work and decided the she should make use of him.

"Hey tall guy, reach up there and grab me that vial," she said pointing to a small empty glass vial on the top shelf. She inspected the pestle she was using, "and grab that spare pestle up there while you're at it." Varus took the initiative and went into the back to start heating up some tea for everyone. He also reorganized some of the shelves as Ms. Tweed flew through them at work. When the tea was ready he brought it out to everyone, setting Ms. Tweed's cup to the side for when she finished her work.

  8. Jace reached up and grabbed the vial and pestle from the top shelf, just as she asked, and followed her and Varus into the back while the others waited. "Hello again Ms. Tweed! It's good to be back. I've got the vial and pestle you asked for. Where do you want them? And is there anything I can do to help?" Ms. Tweed smiled kindly. "Of course dear. Here, why don't you grind up these herbs with the pestle? That leaves Varus and I to do the more advanced work ourselves." Jace listened intently as Ms. Tweed narrated her work, following along the best he could. At last they emerged from the back room with the completed potion, a vibrant electric blue bottle that seemed to glow like moonlight.

"So everybody! Now that we've fixed up Matilda's wing, we can get back to adventuring! So where to next?"
Jace paused, and seeing nobody speak up, began to speak again. "In that case, I have a suggestion. I have received a vision from Farore herself that I am needed east in a small village of Eraof, home to a known shrine of Farore, on the outskirts of the former Castle City. They are currently under siege by a Stalfos raiding party and the Goddess has called upon me, her champion, to deliver her people. And so, my friends, I would like to ask you to join me in this journey. Now, I must warn you that such a quest will not be easy. It will be a long journey, and much will be asked of you. But if you cannot undertake this, I will not blame you. We'll spend tonight preparing, and leaving tomorrow morning."

Soon enough, tea was ready. And the fairy medicine. Mrs. Tweed came out from the back proudly holding the blue bottle. Or perhaps it was just pure kindness and joy radiating from her. Dipping a small dropper into the bottle, she pulled out just a bit and held it close to Matilda.

"Now, hold still, dear. You just need to drink a little bit..." she said, her knobbly hand shaking quite visibly.

"I - I am still! It's your hand that's all over the place!" Matilda blasted back.

Soon she got more than a mouthful of the blue medicine shoved right into her mouth. She coughed some out. "That was -" she began, all too harshly as she's been before, but then she sounded quite surprised. "Wow, is that spearmint?"

The old lady just smiled and nodded, her toothy grin a bit too smooth and pearlescent. "Indeed! And more than that too, if you know what I mean.." she said with a wink.

"What, do you mean... ah! Matilda, you're flying!"

"Yes! Yes, I am!" the fairy said gleefully, flitting about the room happily. "NOW DON'T LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN!"

Skyden was a bit too taken aback to really process what Jace had said, until he already began detailing a new adventure something about a shrine to Farore and stalfos.

"Uh... sure. Where are we going?"

  10. Melody's face lit up she was so glad Matilda's wing was healed up. She sighed it was probably best for her to leave her friends now, but it would be bittersweet. She had grown fond of her traveling companions they were like a family to her. She wanted to stay, but all she seemed to do was cause trouble for her friends. She twirled some loose strands of hair on her fingers and bit her lip. She had to return to who originally sent her to deliver the ingredients to the Silver Stag soon. She was afraid the person who hired her would think she ran off with the ingredients for her own use. She also technically still needed half of her pay. After hearing Jace's speech she was in an even tougher spot. A mission from the goddesses? Would she be killed if she didn't help Jace? She needed to go back to her employer. She sighed and said, "Um...I don't know if I can help. I have to return to who hired me to make that delivery to the Silver Stag. Plus....I don't know if it's a good idea for me to travel with you guys. All I've been is trouble to you guys ever since we met."
